Westminster Christian 7, Genoa-Kingston 1: Defending Class 1A state champion Westminster opened the season with an easy nonconference win over Genoa Friday. Dillan Scully, Ty Green and Kevin Elder each had 2 hits for the Warriors. Elder had a double and he and Green each drove in 2 runs. Ryan Perez threw 4 innings for the win, allowing 3 hits with 5 strikeouts and no walks.
