AID fundraising telethon Saturday at Waubonsee
The Association for Individual Development will have its 12th annual fundraising telethon Saturday at Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove.
The money will help people with disabilities and mental illness work for independence and inclusion in their communities in Kane, Kendall and DeKalb counties.
Local dancers, singers and musicians entertain. The show takes place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is broadcast live on public-access cable television stations and streamed live on the Internet. People may also attend the show, which is in the auditorium.
To donate during the telethon, call (630) 466-2494.
The show can be seen on Comcast Channel 99 in Aurora, Batavia and North Aurora; Comcast Channel 17 in Geneva, Glen Ellyn, Lisle, Naperville, St. Charles, Warrenville, West Chicago, Winfield and Wheaton; and Mediacom Channel 15 in Big Rock, Elburn, Gilberts, Hampshire, Kaneville, Maple Park, Sugar Grove and Prestbury. It will stream on the association’s website, the-association.org.
