Hanover Township offers tutoring for grades 2-12

Hanover Township Youth and Family Services will offer tutoring services to students in grades 2-12 at Streamwood High School, 701 W. Schaumburg Road, in Streamwood, from Feb. 7 to May 4.

Parent-student orientation sessions are scheduled for 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, and Monday, Jan. 31. The parent/guardian and student are required to attend a orientation session. Parents of children in grades 2-8 are required to remain in the building during tutoring; other children may attend with the parents. Parents will receive weekly progress reports and useful tips.

Five certified teachers team tutor a maximum of 20 students per hour. Slots fill up quickly; early registration is recommended. Tutoring slots are at 5, 6, or 7 p.m. Mondays or Thursdays for township residents; the fee is $45 per student per semester.
