Schaumburg Township holding tax appeal seminar
A seminar to educate Schaumburg Township homeowners on how to appeal their new assessments will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 8 at Schaumburg High School, 1100 W. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg.
Staff from the Cook County Assessor’s Office will be on hand to file appeals that evening. Residents need to bring the reassessment notice they received in the mail or their property tax bills. The deadline to appeal assessments is Feb. 22.
The seminar is organized by Schaumburg Township Assessor John Lawson, Cook County Commissioner Timothy Schneider and state Sen. John Millner in conjunction with the staff of Cook County Assessor Joseph Berrios.
