Recipe: Original Sidecar (French School)

1 ounce Cognac (for a less sweet drink, 1½ ounces Cognac)

1 ounce Cointreau

1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice

Ice

Shake all the ingredients hard with ice, and strain into a martini glass.

Serves one.
