Dundee-Crown girls net first win

Ali Sanders scored 15 points and Diamond Williams added 10 Friday night as the Dundee-Crown girls basketball team won its first game of the season, downing Grant 44-41 in nonconference action in Fox Lake.

Dana Ewert added 9 points for the Chargers (1-6), who host Larkin tonight.

Huntley 59, Crystal Lake South 38: Haley Ream led a balanced Huntley attack with 11 points and 4 steals as the Red Raiders (5-1, 1-0) opened the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division schedule with a win. Kadie Lowery added 10 points and 3 assists for Huntley, while CeCe Tsevas also had 10 points. Brittany Pittas had 13 points and Stephanie Melone added 12 for Crystal Lake South (0-8, 0-1).

Streamwood 58, Larkin 26: Michelle Tomczak scored 13 points to lead Streamwood (6-0, 2-0) to an Upstate Eight River win over Larkin. Emma Schmidt added 12 points for the Sabres and is now just 12 short of 1,000 for her career. Jessica Cerda had 11 points for the Sabres, who host St. Ignatius at 6 p.m. today. Maggie Hoffman led Larkin (1-5, 0-2) with 10 points.
