In October 1959, St. Luke Lutheran Church had its first church service in a building on Park Boulevard that had housed the Bonaparte School. That building is now home to the Village Theatre. In the fall of 1960, St. Luke moved into a new church building at 23W080 Butterfield Road, just west of Glenbard South High School. Since that time, St. Luke has seen many changes, including two additions to the original building.
