Midwestern University to Offer Free Flu Shots at Community Health Fair

Free health screenings for diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, and 200 free seasonal/H1N1 flu shots are available to area residents attending Midwestern University's (MWU) Community Health Fair on Saturday, October 23rd from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NOON. The fair will be held at the University's Wellness and Recreation Center, located at 555 31st St. in Downers Grove.

All services are administered on a first-come, first-served basis, and those wanting to participate in the diabetes and cholesterol screening are required to fast for 12 hours prior to taking the tests. Community members must be 18 years or older to participate in the health screenings and receive flu shots.

As an institution specializing in the health sciences, MWU educates students to be osteopathic physicians, pharmacists, physician assistants, physical therapists, occupational therapists, biomedical scientists, and clinical psychologists.
