Scouting St. Viator at Marist

St. Viator (4-2, 2-2) at Marist (4-2, 2-1)

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Last week: St. Viator lost to Joliet Catholic 48-19; Marist d. Nazareth 21-14

Outlook: St. Viator QB Cameron Korab (815 yards, 7 TDs) is out after suffering a concussion last week but Frank Laterza threw for 216 yards and ran for a 70-yard score against Joliet Catholic. "Hopefully he'll play within himself and play well," said Viator coach Chris Kirkpatrick, whose team needs a win in its last three to make the playoffs. Marist rode the powerful arm of Mike Perish to an 8A runner-up finish last year but has relied more on the running of McKinley Moore and Mike Skalitzky this year. "They just kind of are methodical about what they do offensively and defensively," Kirkpatrick said. "They make you earn what you get." Marist has won the last two meetings after Viator had won four straight.
