D54 schools picked as models:

Eight schools in Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54 have been selected to appear on allthingsplc.info, a website about schools and districts that have built successful Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).

The eight schools are Eisenhower, Enders-Salk, Fairview, Fox, Addams, Churchill, Frost and Mead, as well as the district itself. They achieved success through three PLC concepts: monitoring learning on a timely basis, providing students with additional time and support for learning and building teacher capacity to work as members of high performing collaborative teams.

District 54 is one of only 12 districts listed on the site, and its eight named schools among only 112 in the nation.
