Scouting Sullivan at St. Viator

Last year's openers: Sullivan lost to Notre Dame 43-6; St. Viator d. Hersey 14-0

Outlook: And now for something completely different for Viator after its cross-town series with Hersey came to an end. Sullivan has a new coach and plays in the Public League's Inter-City 1 division where teams aren't eligible for the state playoffs. But it is expected to have some size and talent in lineman Elliot Ward (6-4, 285), who transferred from Alabama, LB Jamal Lawson and CB Elijah Odulwya. "We're going in kind of blind," said Viator coach Chris Kirkpatrick. "They're athletic but we're not looking at anybody we play. We need to play to the best of our ability and if we do that we'll be fine."
