Who will pay more for driver's ed?

Once again, School District U-46 is asking the state for more money. This time wanting to raise the fees for driver's education from $300 to $500. Who will be paying the higher fee, you ask? The minorities of the district. When I say minorities of the district, I mean the families who actually pay for their children to go to school without any free handouts.

Having the state pay for low-income students school fees, lunches and extracurricular activities is one thing. Taking driver's ed classes in the school is not a right. So now, because half the district is low income, the families who actually can pay will be punished. How can a low-income student pay for car insurance or a car if they can't pay the instruction fees?
