Golf outing for Dist. 54 raises $26,000
The Schaumburg Township Elementary School Foundation raised more than $26,000 at its 13th annual golf outing June 14 at the Schaumburg Golf Club.
The money will fund programs for District 54 students are not covered by school budgets or tax dollars. The event, sponsored by Manzardo & Associates, had a record 182 golfers despite threatening skies and soggy conditions early on. More than 200 guests enjoyed a barbecue dinner buffet with veteran Chicago sportscaster Tom Shaer as emcee.
