Bartlettbull; Burglars broke into a Mustang on the 100 block of East Railroad June 12 and stole an iPod. Loss was estimated at $350. Burglars also broke into a Toyota but nothing appeared to be missing. bull; A vandal shot a BB-gun pellet through the rear window on a Honda on Foxford Road June 13. Damage was estimated at $500.bull; Thieves stole several fire hydrant valves on Windsor Drive, Balmoral Drive and Buckingham Drive. Value was estimated at $240.bull; James P. Taylor, 19, of the 900 block of Woodside Drive, West Chicago, was arrested around 6:30 p.m. June 15 at North and Prospect avenues and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of drugs and a traffic violation. His court date is July 19.bull; Burglars stole a wallet out of a vehicle at Bartlett High School, between 5 and 7 p.m. June 14 and used a credit card in the wallet to make purchases valued at $215.bull; Burglars hurled a brick through a sliding glass dor at a home on Smoketree Circle around 4:40 a.m. June 11 and stole a laptop computer from a counter. A witness saw him run away. Loss was estimated at $425.bull; Burglars stole a GPS valued at $199 out of a 2007 Honda Odyssey van at a home on the 1400 block of Indigo Drive between 11 p.m. June 14 and 8:15 a.m. June 15. During the same time, burglars scratched the paint on a 1998 Buick Regal and stole loose change out of the center console at a home on the 1700 block of Carib Lane. Loss was estimated at $320.bull; Thieves stole a cell phone valued at $300 after a park district employee placed it on a counter at Melas Park, 1500 W. Central Road, around 4 p.m. June 15. He saw two teenage boys run away but did not see them take the phone.bull; Vandals broke a garage window and damaged a door lock on a 2004 Ford F150 pickup truck at a home on the 1800 block of North Oneida Lane between 11 p.m. June 13 and 6 p.m. June 15. Damage was estimated at $350.bull; Juan J. Aguilar, 21, of the 0-100 block of North Wolf Road, Prospect Heights, was arrested around 2:05 p.m. June 9 on the 200 block of South George Street and charged with battery. Reports said the truck Aguilar was riding in pulled out of a driveway on the 800 block of East Rand Road, causing the male victim to swerve to avoid hitting the 2003 cargo truck. The victim said three men get out of the truck and he got out of his 2010 Jeep Cherokee. After the victim was punched, he followed the truck while talking to a 911 operator, reports said. Officers found and stopped the truck. Aguilar's court date is June 24.bull; Jorge C. Gomez, 37, of the 1700 block of West Victoria Drive, Mount Prospect, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. June 12 and charged with two counts of criminal damage to property. Reports said he scratched a 1995 Chevrolet Lumina sedan and a 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck and shattered the rear passeenger's-side window on a 1995 Chevrolet Astro van in the apartment complex on the 1700 block of West Victoria Drive because he was angry that another man was dating his ex-girlfriend. A court date is June 29.Palatinebull; Burglars stole an in-dash DVD/CD player and GPS unit out of an unlocked 1998 Ford Expedition at a home on the 800 block of North Clark Drive between 3 p.m. June 13 and 6:10 a.m. June 14. Value was estimated at $1,800.bull; Burglars stole the in-dash radio, two speakers, and an amplifier out of a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer in an apartment lot on the 1300 block of Turtle Creek Drive between 8 p.m. June 13 and 11 a.m. June 14. bull; Burglars broke into a 2008 Ford pickup truck on the 100 block of South Plum Grove Road between 6:47 and 8:10 p.m. June 16 and stole a briefcase, laptop computer and range finder. Value was estimated at $1,100.bull; Burglars stole a GPS valued at $100 out of an unlocked 2007 BMW SUV on the 1900 block of North Capri Drive between 8 p.m. June 14 and 7 a.m. June 15.Schaumburgbull; Pilar J. Her court date is July 9.Streamwoodbull; Burglars stole an angle saw, double drill set, and cordless nail gun out of a 1997 Ford Econoline van on the 0-100 block of Mustang between 3 and 8 p.m. June 12.bull;Burglars stole power tools valued at $3,880 out of a 2006 Ford work truck on the 0-100 block of Jonquil Court between 12:30 and 8 a.m. June 12.bull; Burglars broke into a 1998 Mazda Protege on the 0-100 block of Spring Valley Lane between 4 and 5:30 p.m. June 10 and stole $100 out of a purse.bull; David A. Jenkins, 29, of the 1100 block of Forums Court, Wheeling, was arrested around 12:30 p.m. June 16 on the 1500 block of Yellowstone Drive and charged with two counts of battery. Reports said he dragged a woman down a flight of stairs while she was on her cell phone with her boyfriend. The boyfriend then drove to the home the woman was cleaning and confronted Jenkins, who hit him in the face and neck, reports said. bull; Burglars stole a silver 2000 Mazda Protege and black 1982 Honda motorcycle out of a garage at a home on the 1300 block of South Park Avenue between 11 p.m. June 13 and 10 a.m. June 14. Burglars also kicked in the back door at the home and stole a cedar chest, stereo, DVD, two sets of car keys, a paper shredder, two garage door openers and jewelry.
