Bartlett
Thieves stole a 1973 Mustang out of a garage on Devon Avenue around 2 p.m. May 25. Value was estimated at $25,000.
• Donald G. Bruesch III, 28, of the 6700 block of West 81st Street, Burbank, was arrested around 3:20 a.m. May 22 at Route 59 and Auburn Lane and charged with local ordinance possession of marijuana. His court date is June 8.
• Craig Strauss, 46, of the 7700 block of Bolton Way, Hanover Park, was arrested on the 100 block of Bartlett Avenue and charged with disorderly conduct. His court date is July 2.
• Kyle M. Davis, 18, of the 1300 block of Branden Lane, Bartlett, Zachary C. Konstanzer, 18, of the 2200 block of Waterfall Lane, Hanover Park, and Stephen C. Maggard, 18, of the 1300 block of Keenland Drive, Bartlett, were arrested around 7:15 a.m. May 24 at Bartlett High School, 701 W. Schick Road, and charged with unlawful act to endanger the public health. Their court date is June 18.
• Thieves stole a bicycle valued at $200 left at Eastview Middle School overnight May 20-21.
• Burglars stole a GPS unit and prescription sunglasses out of an unlocked vehicle in a driveway and several chargers out of an unlocked car on the street on LaJolla Terrace overnight May 22-23. Value was estimated at $1,240.
• Vandals smashed the rear driver's-side window on a car parked at Bartlett High School, 701 W. Schick Road, May 19. Damage was estimated at $200.
Hanover Park
• Thomas J. Witt, 67, of the 1200 block of Dovington, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 12:20 p.m. May 27 in a store at 7435 Barrington Road and charged with retail theft.
• Jose Cordoba, 18, of the 6700 block of Pine Tree, Hanover Park, was arrested around 7:45 p.m. May 25 on the 2100 block of Narcissus and charged with possession of marijuana.
• Vandals wrote graffiti in the rear of Parkwood Elementary School, 2150 Laurel, May 23.
Hoffman Estates
• Hubert W. Marciniec, 21, of the 900 block of Heather Lane, Hoffman Estates, Rostislav P. Salokhin, 20, of the 1100 block of Valewood Drive, Streamwood, William D. Miller, 21, of the 1900 block of Crescent Court, Hoffman Estates, and Carter G. Schultz, 22, of the 1200 block of West Dexter Lane, Hoffman Estates, were arrested around 10:20 p.m. May 26 at Barrington Square Mall, 2350 W. Higgins Road, and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of open alcohol. Marciniec also was charged with traffic violations. Their court date is June 100.
• Thieves stole an unlocked gray mountain bike valued at $100 parked next to the garage at a home on the 0-100 block of Westview Street between 9 p.m. May 24 and noon May 25.
• Vandals scratched the entire driver's side of a 1999 BMW on the 1800 block of Maureen Drive between 9 p.m. May 20 and 8:30 a.m. May 21.
• Vandals scratched a pitchfork design onto the hood of a 2001 Subaru Legacy on the 700 block of Hill Drive between 11 p.m. May 23 and 8:20 a.m. May 24.
• Vandals cracked the windshield on a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee on the 300 block of Newport Road between 8:30 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. May 27. Damage was estimated at $150.
Palatine
• Ryan T. Pritchett, 23, of the 1100 block of Lippitt Court, Schaumburg, was arrested around 2:55 a.m. May 27 on the 500 block of North Quentin Road and charged with local ordinance possession of marijuana.
• Two men were pulling on vehicle door handles in an apartment lot on the 600 block of Pennsylvania Drive between 4:05 and 4:11 a.m. May 25. They stole a GPS unit valued at $120 out of an unlocked 2003 Honda Element. The car alarm on the victim's key fob sounded.
• Burglars broke a basement window at a vacant house for sale on the 200 block of Parallel Street between May 16 and 24 and stole a silverware set and a sewing machine.
• A man stole merchandise valued at $608 from Jewel, 423 E. Dundee Road, between 9:30 and 9:50 a.m. May 27. A manager confronted the man as he loaded a case of beer and a gallon of milk into a green Dodge Caravan. The shoplifter drove away, leaving the rest of the merchandise in the parking lot.
Rolling Meadows
• Vandals smashed the passenger side-window, $200 value, on a 2007 green Volkswagen EOS during the day May 22 in the 4700 block of Calvert Drive.
Schaumburg
• Ashley E. Lane, 22, of the 1600 block of Cass Avenue, Libertyville, was arrested around 2:45 p.m. May 26 at Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft. Her court date is July 9.
• Bolormad Avarzed, 40, and Bilegsaikhan Purev, 44, both of the 2400 block of West Balmoral, Chicago, were arrested on the 900 block of North Perimeter Drive and charged with endangering the health of a child. Their court date is June 16.
• Caarvell Coles, 35, of the 2100 block of Nichols, Arlington Heights, was arrested around 7:35 p.m. May 21 on the 600 block of North Martingale Road and charged with burglary. His court date is June 4.
• Jorge L. Sanchez-Bustos, 27, of the 1900 block of Ginger Creek, Palatine, was arrested around 1:40 p.m. May 23 at Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft and damage to property. His court date is June 23.
Streamwood
• Kevin P. Terry, 32, of the 4000 block of Clubtree Lane, Streamwood, was arrested around 5:25 p.m. May 21 at West Suburban Currency Exchange, 225 E. Irving Park Road, and charged with felony forgery. Reports said he tried to cash a fraudulent check. He left the exchange but officers found him nearby.
• Burglars stole the in-dash radio/CD player out of an unlocked 1998 Ford Windstar May 22 at a home on the 1000 block of South Park Boulevard. Value was estimated at $200.
• Burglars broke a double-pane window at O'Reilly automotive store, 25 E. Irving Park Road, around 1 a.m. May 22 but failed in an effort to pry open cash registers. Blood was found on the broken window and drops of blood were seen on the floor from the window to the cash registers. Nothing appeared to be missing.
• Burglars stole a GPS unit valued at $200 out of an unlocked 2002 Chevrolet Malibu in a driveway on the 1000 block of Stratford Circle between 9 p.m. May 20 and 8 a.m. May 21.
• Thieves stole a gym bag with clothes and cell phone out of a girls' gym locker at Streamwood High School, 701 W. Schaumburg Road, between 2 and 2:50 p.m. May 20.
