South Elgin 12, Streamwood 1: Xenia Cerda scattered 4 hits and South Elgin pounded out 11 as the Storm won its fourth straight game Friday, downing Streamwood 12-1 in Upstate Eight Conference action. Katelyn Stonecipher (3-for-4, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI), Caitie Stredde (2-for-3, 2B, RBI), Rae Bosteder (2-for-2) and Kara Rodriguez (2-for-3, 2B, 4 RBI) led the offense for South Elgin (5-9, 3-5). Kelsey Johnson suffered the loss for the Sabres (5-11, 1-7).

Bartlett 2, Elgin 1: Bartlett's Callie Dennison and Elgin's Hannah Perryman had matching 2-hitters but the Hawks (13-5, 6-2) pushed across a run in the top of the sixth inning to win and stay in the thick of the Upstate Eight race. Dennison struck out 7 and walked 1 while Perryman struck out 5 and walked 1 for the Maroons (7-14, 3-6). Lauren Chuchvara had an RBI for Bartlett, while Brandi Hernandez and Perryman (2B) had Elgin's hits.

Waubonsie Valley 7, Larkin 2: The visiting Warriors scored 5 runs in the fifth to down Larkin in the Upstate Eight. Anna Esterino had a home run for the Royals (5-12, 3-4) and Lexi Smithberg doubled. Kiernan Schock suffered the loss for the Royals, who committed 6 errors in the game.

Montini 8, St. Edward 2: St. Edward (10-7, 4-4) managed just 5 hits in this Suburban Christian Conference loss at the Elgin Sports Complex. BreAunna Medinger and losing pitcher Sarah Field (2-for-3) each hit home runs for the Green Wave. Field struck out 7, walked 3 and allowed 10 hits in taking the loss.
