Mundelein quickly pays back Highland Park

Mundelein's only boys volleyball loss of the season took place on Friday in two games to Highland Park.

The Mustangs righted that wrong just three days later with a 25-22, 26-24 victory on Monday over Highland Park.

The second time around Mitchell Baumgartner rolled up a team-high 10 kills. He also had 3 blocks and 9 digs. The Mustangs (14-1) also got 6 kills and a team-high 4 blocks from Patrick Lentz. Meanwhile, Chris Kelly led Mundelein with 14 digs while setter Andrew Roscoe had 23 assists.

Stevenson d. Antioch: The Patriots breezed to a 25-13, 25-14 victory to move to 7-6 overall. John Baader had 5 kills, 3 blocks and 4 digs while Niki Antonijevic had 5 blocks and Matt Swaback had 10 digs for Stevenson.

Palatine d. Libertyville: Libertyville dropped to 4-7 overall with a 25-13, 25-19 loss to Palatine. The Wildcats were led by Matt Tassler, who had 3 kills. Eric Handrich had 7 digs and 2 blocks for the Wildcats.
