Shannon McGinnis went 3-for-4 with a home run on the first pitch of the game Thursday to lead Crystal Lake South to a 10-0 Fox Valley Conference crossover softball win over Johnsburg.

Liz Adams was 2-for-3 with a double and 2 runs scored for the Gators (4-1), while Cara Zybko had 2 RBI. Sam Golf (3-1) was the winning pitcher. She allowed 3 hits and had 7 strikeouts in the five-inning game.

Lake Park 9, South Elgin 6: Kara Rodriguez was 2-for-2 with a double and 3 RBI but South Elgin (1-6, 0-2) fell short in this Upstate Eight Conference game. Sam Bolin (1-3) took the loss for the Storm.
