St. Francis 14, Serena 2: Laura Behnke cracked a grand slam, doubled and drove in 6 runs for the host Spartans in their season opener. Bri Pasquale went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and Taylor Ronchetto struck out four.
Glenbard South 16, Hinsdale South 6: Danielle Chitkowski went 3-for-5 with a double and Jenny Wittenberg homered for the Raiders (2-0), keying a 16-hit attack in Darien. Glenbard South exploded for 7 runs in the third and 5 more in the third. Cecie Portillo doubled twice for Hinsdale South (0-1).
Resurrection 4, Lisle 2: Jackie Todd went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the host Lions (0-1).
