The federal government will reimburse the village for a portion of the interest spent on the work and the village is due to sell the bonds next week, he said. The children's section was closed for a week last month while library staff relocated materials to the annex. Library officials pursued the annex as a solution to their space crunch after voters rejected a tax increase that would have funded a permanent addition. The annex will also allow the library to hold more programming on-site. About 100 people attended ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the annex this month. "We hope this new space will be fun for everyone to enjoy and explore," new library Director Patrick McDonald said.
