Sugar Bush Fair is this weekend:

The Spring Valley Nature Center's most popular event, the Sugar Bush Fair, will be held this weekend, 9 a.m.-noon Saturday and Sunday at 1111 E. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg. Visitors discover the American tradition of maple sugaring; both the Native American and early pioneer methods of sap collecting and maple sugar and syrup production.

Activities include a children's puppet show and hayrides. General admission is free; advance breakfast tickets are $3.50 for a half stack of pancakes and $4.50 for a full stack. Day-of prices are $4 and $5, respectively.

The breakfast is outdoors under a tent. If parking at Spring Valley is full, go to Olympic Park, 1675 E. Old Schaumburg Road and ride the shuttle bus. (847) 985-2100.
