Local woman killed in S. California

A former Streamwood resident died over the weekend after a truck crashed through her kitchen in Southern California.

Glynna Folkens, 45, who attended schools at Elgin Area Unit School District 46, died Thursday night after a Chevrolet Avalanche crashed through the wall of her San Bernadino, Calif. home and pinned her under her stove, according to The Associated Press. T

he driver of the truck, Christopher Seruga, 19, appeared suicidal and made no attempt to brake, the California Highway Patrol said. He's been arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter.
