Cambridge Lakes to hold its Family Fun Fair
Cambridge Lakes Charter School will host its third annual Family Fun Fair and Silent Auction from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 13, at the school, 880 Wester Blvd. in Pingree Grove.
All proceeds will go toward the much-needed items required to enrich the classrooms, buildings and grounds.
Families will have the opportunity to play more than 15 games ranging from the Lollipop Tree Pull to Football Toss to "Plinko" to the Cookie Walk. There will be something for all kids ages, toddler through middle school. For the older kids there will be a free-throw contest, with a girl winner and a boy winner.
Kids will have an opportunity to create "pet rocks" and get their faces painted.
Tickets for games are four for $1 at the door, and each game costs two to four tickets each. The kids will earn tokens at each game and be able to turn them in at a prize redemption counter.
The eighth-grade class will be hosting a "Pie Toss," where teachers have volunteered to have pies thrown at their faces. They will also be selling make-and-take "Sandy Candy."
All proceeds for these two events will help in fundraising effort for their June trip to Washington, D.C.
The silent auction will have more than 40 themed baskets, including sports tickets, season pool passes, gymnastic classes, class projects, spa treatments, home decorating and more. Credit cards will be accepted for payment for the silent auction only.
They also will have a raffle table with items such as a Travel DVD player, wine basket, Vera Bradley accessories and much more. Tickets will be $1 each or six for $5.
