Dist. 203 to talk about salaries

Naperville Unit District 203 will release the terms of the tentative contract with its teachers union late Friday if the teachers approve the deal.

District officials originally said they would not release details until Monday. Sources familiar with the negotiations have told the Daily Herald the three-year pact freezes most salaries for the first year and provides raises in the second and third years while also giving retiring teachers pay bumps of up to 6 percent in each of their last four years.

The board will vote on the contract at 7 p.m. Monday, March 8, at the administrative office, 203 W. Hillside Road.
