Dual language programCommunity Unit District 300 is hosting information sessions in March about its dual language program, which provides instruction in Spanish and English to elementary schoolchildren. Sessions on Liberty Elementary School's dual language program will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 1, at Liberty, 6500 Miller Road, Carpentersville; and from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, March 4, at the deLacey Family Education Center, 50 Cleveland Ave., Carpentersville. Sessions on Wright Elementary School's program will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at Wright, 1500 Ketchum Road, Hampshire; and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 4, also at Wright. Call (847) 551-8316.Huntley first aid gradsHuntley has graduated its first Citizens Emergency Response Team, a group of citizen volunteers who can help paramedics respond to major emergencies. The 12 members of the team have been trained in first aid, fire suppression, search and rescue techniques and other skills critical during emergencies. The team was honored during the Huntley village board meeting on Feb. 11.Meet the bunny in CaryThe Cary Park District is holding a breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9 to 10 a.m. March 20 at the Community Center, 255 Briargate Road. Included in the breakfast are pancakes, sausage, milk and juice. After everyone eats, the bunny will arrive to meet everyone. Registration is required and each child must come with an adult.
