The American Legion of Palatine will host fish fries on Friday nights during Lent. The dinners are open to the public. Fried fish or shrimp dinners with soup, fries and coleslaw are $8. For an additional $2, three fried shrimp will be added to either meal. A full-service bar is available for drinks.

'The Art of Norman Rockwell'
Art historian Jeff Mishur presents "The Art of Norman Rockwell," a discussion on the life and work of the legendary American artist.

Calling all antique lovers
The 50th Annual Northern Illinois Antique Dealers Association's Show features dealers from throughout the Midwest, offering fine antiques, folk art and collectibles. Visitors can browse through everything from country furniture, china and glass to Scandinavian items, textiles and jewelry. Food and beverages are available.

Maureen Little of Illinois' Pigeon Hollow Farm and a member of the Chicago Suburban Antiques Dealers Association presents a program titled "Collecting Folk Art: The Trade Sign." The program explores the history of different types of antique trade signs that are now considered to be valuable.

Classic Mozart
The sanctuary choir, the children's choir and the bell choir of the Presbyterian Church of Barrington will be joined by professional orchestra members and vocalists for a performance of Mozart's "Mass in B-Flat." The classical program will also include Mozart's "String Divertimento in G." This free event is considered to be a "musical gift to the community" by the church.
