Funeral services set for Fenton accident victims

Funeral services have been set for two Fenton High School juniors killed Monday when their car struck a tree and split in two along York Road in Bensenville.

Police, meanwhile, continued working Wednesday to reconstruct details of the one-vehicle accident that claimed the lives of Adrian O. Villegas, 16, and Jesse O. Aragon-Rodriguez, 17.

Visitation for both teens will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at Geils Funeral Home, 260 W. Irving Park Road, Wood Dale. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at the same location. Interment is private.

Police said the teens were traveling at a high rate of speed about 4:10 p.m. Monday when the 2002 orange Honda convertible in which they were riding left the road and struck the tree in the 200 block of South York Street.

Police said they arrived to find Villegas and Aragon-Rodriguez unconscious.

Witnesses said the Honda and another vehicle were traveling at high speeds north on York until the crash. The other driver did not stop.

Bensenville police Chief Frank Kosman said investigators are uncertain if the cars were racing.

Aragon-Rodriguez, of Bensenville, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Villegas, also of Bensenville, was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, but died while being transported.

Police did not say which of the teens was driving the Honda.

Kosman said police received conflicting reports about the other car, with some witnesses saying it was a dark-colored Chevrolet Monte Carlo while others described a silver car with tinted windows.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call Bensenville police at (630) 350-3455.
