Wauconda gets defensive, edges Marengo
Wauconda's boys basketball team won a defensive battle Tuesday night, beating host Marengo 33-28 in nonconference action.
Michael Lovelle and Matt Stonis each scored 11 points for the Bulldogs (5-12), who snapped a four-game losing streak. Jesus Zamudio added 6 rebounds, 5 points and 4 assists. Stonis grabbed 4 rebounds, as well.
Lakes 67, Round Lake 56: Donte Arnold scored 15 points to lead four Eagles in double figures in the North Suburban Prairie Division game.
Lakes (6-11, 4-2) also received 11 points from John Androus and 10 apiece from Tyler Swindle and Nathan McMahon.
Round Lake fell to 2-14 and 2-4.
Fremd 63, Lake Zurich 38: Aaron Lewandowski scored 21 points for the Bears (1-15) in their nonconference loss.
