Sun City candidate forum:Residents of Sun City in Huntley will have an opportunity to hear from candidates in both the 14th Congressional District and 25th State Senate District from 10:30 a.m. to noon Jan. 12 in the Drendel Ballroom at Sun City. There will be an opportunity to submit questions. Two candidates are running for the Republication nomination to oppose Bill Foster for the 14th Congressional seat. They are Ethan Hastert and Randy Hultgren. State Sen. Chris Lauzen faces a Republican challenger in Sean Michels.Farnham hosts town meeting:State Rep. Keith Farnham will host a Back to Session Town Hall meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at the Willow Lakes Estates clubhouse, 161 W. River Road, Elgin. The Elgin Democrat wants to hear what people think are important issues as lawmakers head into the spring legislative session. The town hall meeting is open to anyone.
