Huntley hosts workshop:
Huntley is hosting a second workshop to solicit feedback for its downtown revitalization plan. The workshop will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at village hall, 10987 Main St. The feedback will help village staff and consultant Houseal Lavigne Associates develop goals and a vision for the downtown plan. MCC needs your voice:
McHenry County College invites the community to give input on the school's presidential search. The school is holding a special session for the community from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, inside the school's employee dining room. Design center to aid businesses:
Elgin's Downtown Neighborhood Association is creating a Downtown Elgin Design Resource Center at 2 Douglas Ave. in the first floor of the Elgin Tower Building where existing and potential downtown business and property owners can get help and information. The DNA will help provide information about regulations for and city programs to assist with building facades, signs and awnings. The DNA will work with volunteer architects and designers but is looking for donations of bookshelves, magazine racks and trade journals to help with the design center.
