Enter Schaumburg's house decorating contest

You can be a contestant, an official judge or simply a spectator at this year's Holiday House Decorating Contest and Tour sponsored by the Schaumburg Park District Monday night. To enter, submit an entry form by 5 p.m. today, Dec. 4. Forms are available at parkfun.com or any Schaumburg Park District facility.

Only the first 15 houses entered will be judged. There is no entry fee; houses must be within the boundaries of the Schaumburg Park District.

The tour is 6-8:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7. The cost to join the tour is $5 residents; $7 for nonresidents, required by 5 p.m. Monday.

The bus will leave at 6 p.m. from the north entrance of the Community Recreation Center at 505 N. Springinsguth Road in Schaumburg.

Contestants in the decorating contest may not be judges, but are still welcome on the tour. (847) 490-7020 or parkfun.com.
