Schaumburg Twp. Library wins five-star rating

The Schaumburg Township District Library has again won a five-star rating and ranks among the top 10 libraries in its class nationwide, based on the Library Journal Index of Public Library Service.

The prestigious annual ranking of public libraries is based on the levels of service they provide, including library visits, circulation, program attendance and public Internet use. "There are a number of reasons for our success," library Director Stephanie Sarnoff said.

"The community has provided strong support for the library from its very beginnings. The library board has a long-standing commitment to provide an attractive and comfortable environment with a wide variety of resources and services for people of all ages and interests. And, of course, the staff is to be congratulated for their skill, creativity and positive customer service attitude."
