Last year 8-19, 2-12, tied for seventh the DuPage Valley Conference; lost 65-52 to Oswego East in the Class 4A East Aurora regional quarterfinals.

Scouting report A 1993 West Chicago graduate and former Willowbrook and Glenbard West assistant, Baldus takes over a Wildcats program with experience as well as adversity. Tyler Griffith, an All-Area pick last season, isn't on the team, but West Chicago still brims with returning players. Driscoll, who averaged 10 points and 5 assists per game, is a third-year starter and a heady leader. Jacques, at 6-foot-6, hit 48 3-pointers and brings an inside-outside option. Karg and Peterson add physicality to the post. They also boast significant experience along with Robbins and Robinson in the backcourt. More than anything, with Baldus you can expect dedication to defense. "We'll face some challenges, but we need to stick together," Baldus said.
