Pizza winners named

The 2009 Best Pizza Contest sponsored by the Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg Jaycees last week attracted a large crowd to sample and vote on the offerings and support the Hoffman Estates Jaycees' Christmas Kids project and the Schaumburg Jaycees' Wish Tree. The winners were: Riccardo's Ristorante for best thin crust, with Danny's Pizza as runner-up; Rosati's of Streamwood for best pan pizza, with Riccardo's as runner-up; California Pizza Kitchen for best specialty pizza, with Danny's as runner-up. The Jaycees provide individuals aged 21 to 40 opportunities to develop personal and leadership skills while serving their community.
