Jaycees raise funds with pizza competition

The Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg Jaycee chapters will be determining who makes the best pizza in the Schaumburg Township area from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Schaumburg Township Hall at One Illinois Boulevard in Hoffman Estates. For a $6 donation area residents will be able to judge for themselves who makes the best pizza in the area, and at the same time help the community. Participants will have a chance to sample pizzas from several different restaurants in three categories: thin crust, pan crust and specialty. The blind taste test will provide the opportunity for samplers to rank each pizza on a scale of 1 through 5, and votes will be tallied to determine the winner and runner-up in each category. All profits will be donated to state and local charities. For information, call (847) 385-8265 or visit hoffmanestatesjaycees.org or schaumburgjaycees.org.
