District 211 makes big effort for local charities
Students and staff at the District 211 high schools and the administration center will hold the district's first Charity Walk on Sunday, Oct. 18 - and each building has chosen its own nonprofit to raise money for.
All individual school fundraising efforts will culminate with a districtwide, 2.5-mile Charity Walk, starting at 8 a.m. at the Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts, and winding through the Spring Valley Nature Center. After the walk, participants will have a pancake breakfast at Conant High School, sponsored by the District 211 Teachers Union and Board of Education.
Walkers are encouraged to park at Conant High School, ride the shuttle buses to and from the Prairie Center, and stay for breakfast.
