Rep. Sente to hold town hall meeting
State Rep. Carol Sente invites constituents to her first Town Hall meeting, at 6 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Central Lake YMCA, 700 Lakeview in Vernon Hills. Sente, who was appointed to the 59th state representative seat after Kathy Ryg resigned, will hear from residents, as well as discuss her committee assignments and the legislation under consideration by the General Assembly for the fall veto session. Sente, a Democrat, will explain her support of Comptroller Dan Hynes' decision to block the scheduled pay raises for legislators this year, along with her plan to vote to override the governor's veto of Senate Bill 2090.
