Comcast plans upgrades:
Comcast will perform system upgrades in Bloomingdale for two weeks starting at midnight Sept. 28, officials said. To minimize cable, broadband and telephone interruptions, the FCC requires Comcast to work primarily between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. Monday through Saturday. Upgrades will be made in utility easements, many of which are in rear yards. Workers will have identification. They will use flashlights while working for about two hours at each site. Comcast cable, Internet and telephone service may be down in some areas during the work. Comcast will call customers, and distribute door hangers 24 to 48 hours in advance of starting work in each area. For details, call (866) 594-1234.
