West Dundee gets help from county
The Kane Couny Forest Preserve District has approved a $15,000 Fox River Trust Fund grant for the village of West Dundee to help repair damage from high water on the river walk. Village Trustee Becky Gillam apprached the forest preserve commission with a request to protect the $3 million investment in the riverfront. With high water in recent years, much topsoil and plants have been washed away. Forest Preserve Commissioner John Fahy of West Dundee said this is exactly the reason the trust was created.
