Feed the starving: St Paul UCC, 144 E Palatine Road, Palatine, will be participating in Feed My Starving Children on Saturday, June 20, in the Aurora FSMC facility. Volunteers will be filling nutritional food packs to be mailed internationally for children in need. We have committed to 30 volunteers for the 9-11 a.m. shift and rides will be provided. Eli Skinner Chapter, NSDAR: The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is seeking volunteers to make wool caps for the troops stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo and South Korea. Wool head covering which can be worn under the Kevlar helmet provides warmth to the head and neck, but does not restrict vision. Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates Rotary: Area community groups are encouraged to apply for funding of local projects through the Schaumburg -Hoffman Estates Rotary Club. Groups applying for funding must be designated 501C. Funding is limited to projects that are to be complete in the communities of Schaumburg or Hoffman Estates. or for organizations that service these communities as part of their project.
