Reward offered in poisonings:
Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for poisoning two dogs on May 30 near Connecticut Avenue and Brockton Circle. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (630) 420-6006. Callers may remain anonymous.
Colitis Walk Sunday in Lisle:
The second annual Take Steps Walk, sponsored by the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America, steps off at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 14, in Lisle's Community Park at Short Street and Route 53. It's one of three walks this month in the Chicago area that are expected to attract a combined 2,000 walkers.
Roselle honors officer:
The Roselle Lions Club named officer Scott Phillips as the village's Police Officer of the Year this week. Members of the Roselle Police Department nominated Phillips for the honor, which recognizes officers for their service to the community, dedication to law enforcement and the advancement of law enforcement in the community.
