ESO quartet performs at brunch
PADS of Elgin Inc. will hold its second annual Spring Brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 30, at the First Congregational Church, 356 E. Chicago St., Elgin.
The Symphony Orchestra Brunch hosted by PADS of Elgin will feature music performed by an ESO string quartet during the brunch buffet and a short concert after the meal.
The invitation to the ESO musicians at the PADS event is the first time the 20-year-old organization has partnered with the ESO in this way.
"We are honored," says Dale J. Lonis CEO of the symphony. "This partnership highlights both the nonprofit organizations as leaders in community service, collaboration and innovation."
"I am so proud of the symphony for becoming involved with other nonprofit organizations, it's so important they are involved. That's what makes Elgin the city I love - the support that Elgin organizations have for each other," said Elizabeth Hoeft, member of the Symphony's board of directors and longtime PADS of Elgin supporter.
Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Guests may RSVP until Thursday, May 28 by calling the ESO box office at (847) 888-4000, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
