Meet the candidates for District 158
The Huntley Education Association would like to invite the public to meet the candidates running for election to the Huntley Unit District 158 board of education.
Community members will have the opportunity to learn more about the candidates and their positions on the important issues affecting our school district.
The "Meet the Candidates" Night will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 18 at Conley Elementary School gymnasium, 750 Academic Drive in Algonquin.
Support group meets March 25
The Alzheimer's/Dementia Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. March 25 at Family Alliance, Inc. 2028 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock. If you plan on attending the meeting, RSVP by Monday, March 23, by calling (815) 338-3590 or e-mailing Cheryl Levinson at clevinson@familyallianceinc.org.

Auxiliary hosts fashion show
Provena St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary will host "On the Boardwalk," the annual Auxiliary fashion show Saturday, April 4 at Venuti's on Lake Street in Addison. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. with lunch served at noon.
Zazz Productions will present fashions from shops at the Arboretum in South Barrington. The Auxiliary will showcase special basket raffles, a cash raffle and a Grand Raffle. The Gift Shop Boutique will also be featured.
Reservations are $50 per person. Sponsorships are also available from $100 to $5,000. All proceeds will benefit the Medical Imaging Department of Provena Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin.

Volunteers needed for Founders' Days
The Algonquin Founders' Days Festival Committee is looking for volunteers. If you are interested in helping out with the Fox Valley's longest, continuous running festival, meeting new friends, having tons of fun, and being the envy of your neighbors, call the Founders Hotline at (847) 658-5340 and leave your name and number. Someone from the committee will call you back. Areas where you can help out include: parade, bake-off, bike decorating, cardboard boat regatta, cat and dog show, carnival, children's games, Founders' Run, Little Mr. and Miss Pageant, market and bazaar, social garden, cleanup, information booth, security, gates, and more.
