Palatine
• Robert N Noe, 39, of the 26400 block of West Route 134, Ingleside, was arrested March 7 on the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive and charged with traffic violations, resisting arrest, driving under the influence of alcohol, cocaine and marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Reports said he drove into a driveway, hit a fire hydrant with his car and tried to run away.
• Maria Fregoso, 37, of the 1200 block of East Winslowe Drive, Palatine, was arrested around 8 p.m. March 6 at T.J. Maxx, 1307 N. Rand Road, and charged with retail theft of sunglasses and a scarf valued at $102.
• Thieves stole a beige 1997 Nissan Maxima from an apartment lot at Dundee Quarter near Baldwin Road between 8:10 and 8:13 a.m. March 7. The car was unlocked and the engine was running.
• Burglars broke into a 1992 Plymouth Laser in an apartment lot at Dundee Quarter near Baldwin Road between 10 p.m. March 7 and 8 a.m. March 8 and stole the in-dash stereo, tools and school books. Loss was estimated at $505.
• Vandals trashed a vacant home, foreclosed in May of 2008, on an unknown date. Vandals set fires in three bathrooms, punched holes in walls, smashed windows, broke bathroom fixtures and pushed a refrigerator from the upper level kitchen to the front foyer.
• Thieves stole the front passenger's-side tire and chrome wheel from a 1998 Lincoln Navigator in an apartment lot on the 1400 block of Ports O Call Drive between 1 and 8:15 a.m. March 8. Loss was estimated at $620.
• Thieves stole two tires and rims from a 1998 Pontiac Firebird on the 1000 block of East Anderson Drive between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. March 6. Loss was estimated at $400.
Schaumburg
• Mallory M. Mahnke, 17, of the 6900 block of Hillside Road, Crystal Lake, was arrested around 7:20 p.m. March 3 at J.C. Penney in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft. Her court date is March 19.
• Chelsie Jean Harvey, 23, of the 1000 block of Basswood Street, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 3 p.m. March 3 at Sears in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft. Her court date is March 19.
• Rigoberto Carbajal-Guadarrama, 37, of the 700 block of North Salem Drive, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. March 2 at the police department, 1000 W. Schaumburg Road, and charged with battery in connection with an incident with a woman Feb. 18 on the 800 block of West Higgins Road. His court date is April 1.
• Thieves stole a silver 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse coupe between 8:50 and 9:10 p.m. March 2 from a business lot on the 300 block of South Barrington Road. The male victim had left the car unlocked and the engine running.
