Board meeting: On Monday, the U-46 Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. in Room 140 at the Educational Services Center, 355 E. Chicago St. in Elgin. The public is welcome to attend and provide citizen comments to the school board at the open meetings. For details on the board, visit the "School Board and Community" link on the district Web site at www.u-46.org.
Bartlett High: On Thursday, the Bartlett High School choral concert will be presented at 7 p.m. in the auditorium, 701 Schick Road. Ticket prices are $2 for adults, $1 for students and seniors, and $6 per family.
Larkin High: On Thursday, music lovers will appreciate Larkin High School the band performance scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Both the first and sixth hour bands will perform, along with the jazz ensemble and the wind ensemble. Classic transcriptions, marches, and a patriotic anthem will be featured pieces for the show. Ticket prices are $2 for adults, $1 for students and seniors, and $6 per family.
South Elgin High: On Thursday, the South Elgin High School band concert will be presented at 7 p.m. in the auditorium, 760 E Main St. Ticket prices are $2 for adults, $1 for students and seniors, and $6 per family.
Streamwood High: On Thursday, the Streamwood High School orchestra will present their concert at 7 p.m. in the auditorium, 701 W. Schaumburg Road. Admission is $1 per student, $2 per adult, and $6 per family.
Abbott: On Tuesday, Abbott Middle School band students will join elementary school band students in fifth and sixth grades for a concert at 7 p.m. at Larkin High School, 1475 Larkin Ave.
Canton: On Tuesday, the Canton Middle School band together with elementary feeder school band students will perform a concert at 7 p.m. at Streamwood High School.
Kenyon Woods: On Wednesday, Kenyon Woods Middle School orchestra students in fourth through sixth grades from the feeder schools will present an orchestra concert at 7 p.m. Schools include Clinton, Fox Meadow, Garfield, Liberty, Nature Ridge, Wayne and Willard.
Laurel Hill: On Tuesday, the Laurel Hill Elementary School "Crossroads" after school kids' club will meet at 2 p.m. They will also meet on March 10 and 17.
• On Thursday, the school will host an ELL parenting class from 9:45 to 11 a.m.
Liberty: On Friday, the Liberty Elementary School PTO will sponsor a Family Fun Fair from 6 to 9 p.m. at the school, 121 Naperville Road. Families will enjoy an evening of food, fellowship and fun.
Spring Trail: On Thursday, the Spring Trail Elementary School sixth-graders will present a World's Fair from 8:40 to 10:15 a.m. in the commons, 1384 Spring Valley Drive in Carol Stream.
