Three old faces, one new win in McHenry Township

Three incumbents and one new face emerged the victors in Tuesday's Republican primary for the McHenry Township board.

Incumbent trustees Jim Condon, Kathy Kuchta and Marsha Nelson as well as newcomer Craig Adams won spots on the April ballot, according to unofficial vote totals that did not include early or absentee votes. So far, they are unopposed in April.

Adams and the three victorious trustees all ran on the same slate.

"I'm very pleased with the results," Adams said. "If they hold up, the trustees will be a good team."

A fourth incumbent, Vince Nett, finished fifth in the race for four, 4-year slots on the April ballot. He could not be reached for comment.

Township Supervisor Donna Schaefer, Clerk Bruce Novak and Assessor Carol Perschke are all uncontested in their re-election bids.
