Hampshire clinches share of BN-East title
Hampshire 64, North Boone 55: Hampshire clinched at least a share of the Big Northern-East division title with this win over the visiting Vikings Friday night. Junior Justin Bieber recorded a team high 21 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead the Whip-Purs (17-7, 9-0) over North Boone (6-14,3-6). Senior James Goebbert scored 12 points and junior Shyler Ralphs added 11 points for Hampshire.
East Aurora 74, Streamwood 67: Marcus Lewis scored 18 points on the board but it wasn't enough as the host Sabres (11-12, 4-6) fell short against third-place East Aurora (17-7, 9-2) in the Upstate Eight. Streamwood senior guard Tem Esikiel scored 16 points, including four 3-pointers, and Brain Bauer added 12 points.
Crystal Lake Central 41, Huntley 40: The Red Raiders dropped a Fox Division road game in Crystal Lake to the Tigers (5-19, 2-6) after leading 23-20 at the half. Senior guard Zac Boster led Huntley (14-10, 4-4) with 16 points while Brett DePorter added 9 points and Jordan Neukirch contributed 8 points.
Aurora Christian 44, Westminster Christian 30: The Warriors (16-10, 2-6) dropped their final Private School League contest in Aurora despite holding the Eagles to 44 points. Joey Vandenbos led Westminster with 6 points.
