Football registration Saturday
The DC Junior Chargers Youth Football Organization will hold a registration session for the 2009 football and cheerleading season from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Dundee Township Recreation Center, 665 Barrington Ave, Carpentersville. Those interested must reside within District 300 boundaries or the Dundee Township Park District. A copy of the participant's birth certificate, a current sports physical and a report card must be presented. Registration and equipment fees are $250 for football and cheerleading. Cheerleading clinic
The St. Charles North High School cheerleaders will host a clinic from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, in the gym, Red Gate Road and Route 31. A performance from 2:30 to 3 p.m. follows. Students in kindergarten through eighth grade are welcome. The fee is $30. Proceeds support the cheerleading team. Advance registration is preferred, but registration will be accepted at the door. Chocolate fundraiser
The Open Door Clinic, a HIV clinic that has locations in Elgin and Aurora, will host its ninth annual fundraiser "All Things Chocolate" at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Westin Northwest, 400 Park Blvd., Itasca. Six area chocolatiers will showcase their creations to accompany a silent auction, the top prize of which is a two-night stay in Las Vegas.
