Streamwood 58, Elk Grove 36: Marcus Greene scored 14 points to help Streamwood (11-11) to this 58-36 nonconference win over the visiting Grenadiers. Senior guard Tem Esikiel contributed 12 points. The 11 wins are the most for the Sabres since the 1999-2000 team went 20-8.
Westminster Christian 44, Francis Parker 37: The Warriors (16-9) won this nonconference test in Elgin behind 19 points from senior guard Mike Nicosia, who sank three 3-pointers. Westminster led by 16 at halftime but Francis Parker made a game of it with a 13-4 third quarter.
"I was pleased with out first-half performance, but I was very unhappy with our third quarter," Westminster coach Bruce Firchau said. "That's a very disturbing trend to have this late in the season."
