Wal-Mart hiring in Huntley

Wal-Mart has opened a temporary hiring center to fill 320 to 350 positions at the new Huntley supercenter slated to open in April. The hiring center, at 12177 Regency Parkway, will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. You can also apply at walmartstores.com/Careers/7745.aspx. County seeks doctor for Health Board

The McHenry County Board is accepting applications for physicians interested in filling a vacant post on the county's board of health. Application forms are available at the county board office of the McHenry County Government Center, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock, or online at co.mchenry.il.us. NIU open house

Northern Illinois University will host an open house for prospective students and families from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 16 in the Holmes Student Center, Lucinda Avenue and Normal Road, DeKalb. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet representatives from admissions, the faculty, financial aid and student services. Open house activities include a student-led campus bus tour, residence hall visits and a university information fair. Many of NIU's academic colleges and departments also will host individual open houses during the day. No reservations are required for the open house or related activities. Morning arrival is recommended to enjoy the widest range of program options. Free parking will be available at the Convocation Center with shuttle buses to the Student Center.
